Changes may be coming in the future
Well well well
Very little to say but that’s what blogging is all about, right? New job, new year, new thoughts, but not much for this page. I have been flickring though so look there too. Done with twitter though…
New Year’s card
Since today is the first day of the secular year, I have decided to show you a work I created for the beginning of the Jewish year. This past year my wife and I decided to create a New Year’s card of our own in honor of our first Rosh Hashanah as a married couple. According to Jewish tradition, Rosh Hashanah (head of the year) is the anniversary of the birth of the world. The idea behind the work is to portray the creation in an artistic, yet interesting way. My point of reference specifically is the first day when light and dark were separated. The work was created on September 7, 2004. Click through to see a larger version of the work.

Lined cool color project
This project was created for my very first Digital Media class while I was a student at UNO back in 2000. The project objective included use of Photoshop and a Stylus to create a piece of art. I used some filters in Photoshop to create a strange background. Additionally, I “scratched” in lines and used blurring to create and illusion of space. The random colored pixels were brought into focus by using the sharpen tool to tie the left and right edges of the work together. The work was created on April 15, 2000. Click through to see a larger version of the work.

First post and Site policy
Welcome to the new Schleifstein.net blog. Here I plan to post my digital media artwork that I may have created in the past and will create in the future including art made using Flash and Photoshop. I also will post photos taken by the Schleifstein.net team that I consider artistic. At first this blog will not be allowing commenting on posts. Also expect the look and feel of this site to change as I get a cool theme installed. Everything posted here is the property of the Schleifstein.net team and may only be used with a link back to the original post. Please don’t plagiarize me, just cite me.
